As most of you might have noticed, Disney has been putting out these, newer, life action adaptions to existing fairy tales in the last couple of years.

A good majority of those can be seen as alternate universe stories to the animated classics. (Maleficent, Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland and the upcoming Cinderella movie for example.)
Into the woods, which came out rather recently, is no exception to that as it mixes several fairy tale characters into one big story. With the addition of a few twists.

While the movie has more hints towards the original fairy tale then some of the Disney animated movies, a small portion of the characters in there can be regarded as 'double' characters in our group.
Which pretty much means another version of a character someone can RP as.
Like how someone can play Alice as the character from the animated classic or as the Alice from the Tim Burton movie.

Seeing as Into the woods is set in a fantasy setting, the group will take applications for the characters from that movie.

There is one thing I would like to point out and hope every member will put into consideration when roleplaying with others who have, or are playing with, a character that has another version in another Disney movie.

For those that are playing such characters.

Please do not feel pressured into playing another version of a character if you don't want to.
If you want to play version of the animated classic rather than the live action version, or vice versa, feel free to stick to just that.
If you want to roleplay as more versions of that character, please make it clear to your RP partners which version is your default version and when you'll play the other one.

Especially with the Cinderella movie coming up, which will mean three versions of the character, I can see how things might get confusing for other members.

For those that roleplay with characters that have more versions.

What I'm about to say might seem a bit obvious, but if the RPer of said multi-version character doesn't want to, or isn't comfortable with, playing the version your character is a part of, please respect that.
Every roleplayer connects a little better to a certain character, or certain version in this case, than another after all.

If the other version character  is needed so your character can have some development, please discuss with the other RPer if it's alright to mention animated or movie version of their character, during roleplays or in a journal.
The same goes for if that character doesn't have a roleplayer.
Sans the discussion of course.

If you are in need of that character for development sake, just mention them during the development, or take charge of them every so often if they don't have a roleplayer yet.
Treat them like a plot device or supporting character if needed.

The most important thing of roleplaying, is to have fun of course.
I do hope that with the above things in mind the element of fun will still remain.
If anyone is having any trouble or is in a conflict because of these, please let the admins know and we'll determine if the amount of Disney versions of a character should be limited or not.

As a short sidenote. The next movie night will be held on the 31st of January.
