We strive to make our group and chat room a place where everyone feels welcome. In order to do that, we have to enforce rules. We must make it clear that the rules were created with the input of members and the admin staff.

What to know before joining

The group admins will make your RP account (which will start with "WDisneyRP-")
Spelling and grammar are important since this is a text based RP
Members should be active (when inactive for more than 4 weeks you will be kicked and must re-apply to join)
OCs and non-members cannot interfere with RP activities or plot lines

Initial rules once you are a member

Don’t use RP accounts to join other RP groups as they belong to this group only
Don't set your RP account's online status to 'invisible.' We need to know how frequently you are active just in case we need to find a replacement RPer who is more active
After a month of group membership, you are allowed to apply for a second character. The only restriction is that your second choice can't be one that interacts a lot with your other character. (ie. You playing both Rapunzel and Flynn at the same time wouldn't work)
Once you have had your second character for a month (without switching), you may apply for a third character. Your third character also can't be one that interacts a lot with your other characters, since constantly RPing with yourself ruins the point of RPing with others.
Avoid any pop-culture references as they do not pertain to our characters (XBOX, Bronies, iPhone, etc.)
DO NOT delete your RP account. If you wish to leave the group, just send a note to the group explaining why (see FAQ for details)

Role playing as your character

When developing your character beyond the movie, have them evolve REALISTICALLY. This will keep them close to their canon personality and avoid a forced fantasy which would become out of character.
Preserve the magic. Stay in character at all times!
          Examples:
               -If your character doesn't do magic, they shouldn't suddenly become a master of it
               -If you are given a magical item, it shouldn't last more than two weeks as it will feel OOC
               -If your character is transformed by magic or put under a spell, it shouldn't last more than two weeks
               -If your character is a villain, they shouldn't become close friends with the heroes (unless it's part of an evil plan)
If your character doesn't use profanity in their canon film or show, don't use it!
The only exception is if your character has used it in canon! (For example, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Judge Frollo says "damn" when referring to religion, like when he quothed "My soul will be damned if I give in to this desire." Lampwick called Pinocchio a "jackass" (animal-wise, before political correctness) when turning into a donkey.)

Interacting with other characters

Stay with your official couple (Mickey+Minnie, Perdita+Pongo, etc.) and please no non-canon pairings (All romantic relationships between two single characters must be approved by both parties AND admins)
Interact with others the way YOUR character would act
When sending in an application, use the codeword "Walt sent me" to prove that you have read through these rules thoroughly.
If you need to talk OOC (ex. To explain/plan RP or share something) keep it to a minimum or go to the OOC chat room instead

Rules for uploading deviations, journals, and favoriting

Treat your character's uploads the same as journals! They should be relevant to your character and prompt RPing between you and other members!
Don't upload something JUST because it's Disney-related (ex. pictures of merchandise, etc.). It should be something that your character would post, and your character should have something to say about it!
Only fave art that your character would be interested in! Should be either art of the character and their family and friends OR art that reflects their interests (i.e. Timon would fav pictures of bugs, him and Pumbaa, Simba, etc.)
Please keep OOC journals to a minimum. If you feel the need to announce something that is OOC, if possible, we ask that you do so this way:
           -Write an IC journal entry as your character (you can even make it relate to your OOC comment!).
           -Then at the bottom of the journal entry, leave a brief OOC comment
           -Example: "Oh, my caballero Panchito just invited me to visit his home in Mexico for a week! I'm so excited!
                                   ((I'm going away for a week, see ya when I get back))"

No self-advertising please. If you want to advertise a group, account, or project, please don't do so on the RP accounts. You can send a private note to a few members but no more than that to avoid spamming everyone.

(OC) ORIGINAL CHARACTERS AND NON-DISNEYRP ACCOUNTS

No non-canon/OC children. There have been issues in the past where members have neglected the canon Disney character they applied for and focus mainly on the OC babies.
No RPing with outside RP accounts; these accounts are for this group only

All members are expected to agree to our rules and to follow them. If you have any questions about these rules, please feel free to ask us. We would be happy to clarify.

If you start to push the limits, we will be forced to remind you of the rules or give you a warning. Three warnings and you're out.
